Photography is the 8th grade art class.
Students learn the basic concepts of photography and composition using digital cameras and appropriate software in the computer lab. Students also learn about matting, mounting, and other display techniques.
Although the course is based on digital photography, the use of film and 35mm cameras is also taught.
Our students have a high acceptance rate into specialized programs, such as the commercial photography academy at Red Bank Regional High School...but the important thing is that they develop an eye and that they have fun while they learn to express themselves using this art form.
