Ms. Teri Bendix

Welcome to Ms. B.'s page!

My name is Teresa Bendix, otherwise known as Ms. B., and I am the resource room teacher at the Deal Elementary School.  I have been in this role at Deal for sixteen years, which has proven to be enough time for the program to evolve into a multi-faceted system of varied levels of service.  The needs of the students in a particular school year determine the services provided to them for that school year.  I spend much time in the general education classes co-teaching or providing additional support while differentiating instruction.  In addition, I often provide specialized interventions to students with different learning styles.

Before my time at Deal, I was a Midwesterner living in Indiana.  It is there that I taught special education for two years before I went to graduate school to study psychology.  Several years later, I earned my M.S. and many Ph.D. credits in counseling psychology from Purdue University.  Go Boilers!

While I am not at Deal School, I am either at my private practice in Tinton Falls, at the grocery store, or doing something that involves my two sons, my three cats or my home.  I basically fill my time with the above, but occasionally get a chance to get out, hike and enjoy the outdoors.  I love nature, the Earth, gardening, cooking what I grow, and sharing all of that with my family and friends.
