My name is Deana Curcione, and I am the English Language Arts teacher for grades 6-8. I graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology.
I started my career in teaching in 2008 as a fourth-grade leave replacement teacher at Nellie Bennett Elementary School in Point Pleasant Borough School District. I then moved on to teach English Language Arts to grades 6-8 at Bayshore Middle School in Middletown School District before coming to Deal where I have been teaching for the last nine years. During the 2016-2017 school year, I had the honor of being named the Deal School Teacher of the Year!
Teaching has always been my passion, and I can not think of a better place to be a teacher. The students, staff, and administration make every day a truly enjoyable experience.
