Mr. Wiltbank’s Physical Education Classes

Grades K-8


Kindergarten-2nd Grade:

*Locomotor Movements like walking, jogging, running, skipping, galloping, and hopping

*Manipulative skills like basic throwing (underhand and overhand), kicking, shooting, and dribbling

*Fitness activities with jump ropes and hula hoops

*Cooperative games/activities to get the students involved with team work and sportsmanship



3rd-5th Grade:

*More advanced manipulative skills when it comes to throwing, kicking, shooting, passing, and dribbling

*Fitness days and activities using mats, jump ropes, hula hoops, and the newly renovated track

*Cooperative activities showing sportsmanship, teamwork, and the ability to work with one another showing respect

*Small sided sports like soccer, basketball, softball, lacrosse, volleyball, kickball etc.



6th-8th Grade:

*Use manipulative skills and locomotorskills in a game setting like soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, floor hockey, kickball, softball, etc.

*Fitness days using the mats, ab rollers, hula hoops, jump ropes, pull up bar, and the newly renovated track

*Cooperative games/activities where they can show/prove they know how to work as a team and come up with their own strategies to be successful
